What a Wonderful Autumn Week in Nursery!
What a lovely, autumn-filled week we’ve had in Nursery! The children have been learning our poem ‘Leaves Are Falling’, creating beautiful autumn wreaths, singing autumn songs and enjoying lots of autumn-themed stories.
We’ve had great fun exploring the forest, spotting all the wonderful signs of autumn around us. We’ve also been busy with our phonics, listening carefully and learning to recognise the different sounds made by farm animals.
The children have been amazing as always. We are so proud of them!

Week Ending Friday 2nd October 2026
Another brilliant week in Nursery!!
This week we have used our senses to explore lots of different vegetables. We have used brilliant vocabulary to describe each one. Tasting was our favourite part. We were super impressed with the children for trying everything. They were able to say if they did of didn't like it. The carrots were a firm favourite. The onions, not so much!
The children learnt their first Poetry Basket poem of the year - Chop Chop. See if they can teach you any of the actions or the words.
In Phonics, we were looking at "Environmental sounds." We had the best time making different sounds with our sticks.
Week Ending Friday 25th September 2026
This week we have been learning the story Mr Wiggle and Mr Waggle. The children were brilliant at retelling the story with actions and enthusiam.
We also met Jigsaw Jenny. She is part of our PSHE lessons. We loved giving her a cuddle and she brought us a special gift.
Then was our favourite event of the week!! What a fantastic Rainbow Fun Run!
We are so incredibly proud of our Nursery children. Their little legs ran such a long way, but they didn’t stop once and they kept smiling all the way around.
Even more special was seeing them stay to cheer on our Year 1 children. They clapped, cheered, danced and encouraged them all the way, showing such fantastic support and team spirit. It was lovely to see them celebrating each other’s achievements.
A huge well done, Nursery! You were amazing and made us all so proud.
Week Ending Friday 18th September 2026
This week nursery have been amazing at settling into new routines and building relationships with friends and adults.
We have been practising our small group time routines, listening to stories, having snack and joining in with music and movement group activities.
Everyone has been exploring all of our areas in nursery. We have seen some lovely role play between children in the forest.

Our first full week
A very warm welcome to all our returning children and a special welcome to our new nursery children. We have had a wonderful start to the new term and it has been lovely to see how quickly everyone has settled in. The children have already been busy making friends, exploring their new surroundings and most importantly having lots of fun. We are so proud of each and everyone of them.
