Emmaville is passionate about the inclusive nature of our school and we are very proud that we value personal development and celebrate the diversity of all our pupils.  We work hard to encourage children to celebrate personal progress, whether it be against themselves, their peers, local data or the country as a whole.
 

EYFS 2024

Reception Cohort – 60  (Boys – 31      Girls – 29)

By the time they left the end of Reception, 72.9% of the cohort attained a good level of development. National Average 67.7%,  Local Authority 67.4%

Year 1 Phonics Screen 2024 

Cohort 56  (Boys – 27    Girls – 29)

The Year 1 Phonics test was completed in June 2024.  The number of pupils who achieved the expected standard was 89.3%.  National Av. 80.2%.  Local Authority 79.7%.

Key Stage 2 results for 2024

Cohort - 63  (Boys - 29 Girls - 34)

65.6% of our children reached the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, compared with a national figure of 61% and Local Authority of 61.8%. 

In Reading, Writing and Maths at Emmaville, 4.9% achieved at the higher standard in comparison to 8% Nationally and 7.2% Local Authority.

The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above.  The threshold for a ‘high standard’ in 2024 was a scaled score of 110.

EYFS 2023

Reception Cohort – 56  (Boys – 27      Girls – 29)

By the time they left the end of Reception, 63% of the cohort attained a good level of development.

Year 1 Phonics Screen 2023 

Cohort 59  (Boys – 30    Girls – 29)

The Year 1 Phonics test was completed in June 2023.  The number of pupils who achieved the expected standard was 58 (98.3%).  National Av. 78.9%.  Local Authority 78.2%.

Key Stage 1 2023

Cohort 57  (Boys – 25    Girls – 32)

Reading, Writing and Maths 

At the end of Key Stage 1, the percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths was 65% (National average 56%, Local Authority 55.2%)

The percentage of pupils who achieved greater depth in Reading, Writing and Maths was 5.3% (National average 6.2%, Local Authority 3.9%)

Reading

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading was 84.2% (National average 68.3%, Local Authority average 67.5%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Reading was 35.1% (National average 18.8%, Local Authority average 18%). 

Writing

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Writing was 70.2%  (National average 60.1%, Local Authority average 59.6%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in writing was 15.8% (National average 8.2%, Local Authority average 5.8%).  

Maths

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Maths was 73.7% (National average 70.4%, Local Authority average 70.2%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Maths was 15.8% (National average 16.4%, Local Authority average 13.7%).

Cohort - 68  (Boys - 41 Girls - 27)

75% of our children reached the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, compared with a national figure of 59% and Local Authority of 63.1%. 

In Reading, Writing and Maths at Emmaville, 5.9% achieved at the higher standard in comparison to 8% Nationally and 6.5% Local Authority.

The Year 1 Phonics test was completed in June 2019.  The number of pupils who achieved the expected standard was 52 (87.9%).  National Av. 81.9%.  Local Authority 83.1%.

Reading, Writing and Maths 

At the end of Key Stage 1, the percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths was 65% (National average 64.9%, Local Authority 65%)

The percentage of pupils who achieved greater depth in Reading, Writing and Maths was 20% (National average 11.2%, Local Authority 11%)

Reading

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading was 73.3% (National average 75%, Local Authority average 74.9%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Reading was 33.3% (National average 25%, Local Authority average 24.8%). 

Writing

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Writing was 73.3%  (National average 69%, Local Authority average 69.6%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in writing was 21.7% (National average 15%, Local Authority average 14.8%).  

Maths

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Maths was 76.7% (National average 76%, Local Authority average 75.1%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Maths was 33.3% (National average 22%, Local Authority average 22%).

Cohort - 38  (Boys - 21 Girls - 17)

61% of our children reached the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, compared with a national figure of 65% and Local Authority of 67%. 

In Reading, Writing and Maths at Emmaville, 8% achieved at the higher standard in comparison to 11% Nationally and 10% Local Authority.

The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above.  The threshold for a ‘high standard’ in 2019 was a scaled score of 110.

By the time they left the end of Reception, 75% of the cohort attained a good level of development; higher than the national average (71.5%), higher than the Local Authority (70.1%).

The Year 1 Phonics test was completed in June 2017.  The number of pupils who achieved the expected standard was 51 (85%).  National Av. 82.5%.  Local Authority 83.9%.

Key Stage 1 2018

Cohort 54  (Boys – 34    Girls – 20)

Reading, Writing and Maths 

At the end of Key Stage 1, the percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths was 74.1% (National average 65.4%, Local Authority 67.4)

The percentage of pupils who achieved greater depth in Reading, Writing and Maths was 14.8% (National average 11.7%, Local Authority 13.5%)

Reading

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Reading was 83.3% (National average 75.5%, Local Authority average 78.1%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Reading was 46.3% (National average 25.7%, Local Authority average 25.8%). 

Writing

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Writing was 81.5%  (National average 70%, Local Authority average 71.6%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in writing was 24.1% (National average 15.9%, Local Authority average 17.4%).  

Maths

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in Maths was 79.6% (National average 76.1%, Local Authority average 77%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in Maths was 35.2% (National average 21.8%, Local Authority average 23.7%).

Key Stage 2 results for 2018

Cohort - 36  (Boys - 19    Girls - 17)

86.1% of our children reached the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, compared with a national figure of 64.2% and Local Authority of 69.9%. 

In Reading, Writing and Maths at Emmaville, 22.2% achieved at the higher standard in comparison to 9.7% Nationally and 10.2% Local Authority.

The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above.  The threshold for a ‘high standard’ in 2018 was a scaled score of 110.

Attainment of our children at the Expected Standard is higher than the National and Local Authority averages in all subjects.  Attainment at the higher standard (Greater Depth) at Emmaville is also above the National average in Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling.

Progress Measures KS1 to KS2 2018

The progress measures compare pupils’ key stage 2 results to those of other pupils nationally with similar prior attainment.  They are based on their key stage 1 results.  A score of 0 means pupils in our school on average do as well at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally, whereas, a negative score means pupils in our school on average do worse at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally, and a positive score means pupils in our school on average do better at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.

The Year 1 Phonics test was completed in June 2017.  The number of pupils who achieved the expected standard was 47 (85.5%). 

Key Stage 1 2017

Cohort 44  (Boys – 18    Girls – 26)

At the end of Key Stage 1 standards were above the national average in reading, writing and maths.

Reading

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in reading was 80% (national average 76%, local authority average 77%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in reading was 50% (national average 25%, LA 27%). 

Writing

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in writing was 82%  (national average in 2017 65%). 

The percentage of pupils working at greater depth in writing was 25% (national average 16%). 

Maths

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard in maths was 80% (national average 75%).

Cohort - 29  (Boys - 10    Girls - 19)

90% of our children reached the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics, compared with a national figure of 61%. In reading, writing and maths 17.2% achieved at the higher standard in comparison to 9% nationally.

The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above. 90% of our children reached the expected standard compared with a national figure of 61%.  The threshold for a ‘high standard’ in 2017 was a scaled score of 110, 17% of our children reached a high standard in reading, writing and mathematics, compared with a national figure of 9%.

Attainment of our children at the expected standard is higher than the national average.  Attainment at the higher standard is above the national average in reading and writing and slightly lower in Maths and GPS.
