We had a lovely morning on Tuesday at our Prayer Space session with Sam Cree and the team. We thought about what our big questions we have about God and the world so we wrote them down and hung them on a washing line. We had some fabulous questions like "if God made the world, then who made God?"

We also thought about things that are happening around the world like conflict and species becoming endangered. We had to look at the world map and identify where these things were happening and place a little candle on the location.

The children were very respectful and thoughtful.

This week, we started our new topic in PE, Gymnastics! The children have started by thinking about muscle tension and the importance of squeezing certain muscles in order to hold a balance for 5 seconds. Today we looked at how muscle tension is important when jumping with a rotation.

We have had an amazing week in Africa class this week. We have done such a fantastic job in our big write this week, the children have focused hard on their handwriting and presentation. It is so lovely to see so many taking pride in their work.

Happy New Year! It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week and hear about all the lovely  things they got up to over the Christmas holidays.

This week we have started our Art topic in painting. This week we focused on tints and shades. The children had to use both white and black paint with a colour in order to create a gradient, showing how the primary colour can be darkened and lightened to create different effects. The children produced some excellent work.
