Thursday 21st May
Well, I cannot believe we have reached our final half term of the year! We have had a lovely week this week, completing some projects and slowly getting back into routine. We have finished off today with a day either at Ryton cricket club or Gibside for a health and wellbeing day. I know that both of these events have been wonderful and the children have behaved so well - what a lovely way to finish off the week and begin the holidays.
I hope you all have a lovely break!
Friday 15th May
I can't believe we have finally finished our SAT's, the time really is flying! The children have blown me away with how hard they have worked and I am so proud of each and every one of them. This week has been tough, but they have been positive, determined and deserve all of their success. Today, we have had a brilliant day bowling to celebrate. All of the children were so well behaved and had lots of fun, it was a great treat for all of them for their hard work.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing weekend.
Friday 8th May
The children have been working so hard this week in preparation for their SAT's starting on Monday. We have been doing our final practices, as well as some tricky content in our science lesson. We were looking at the circulatory system, and how important blood is to our survival. As it was such a difficult thing for the children to understand, we tried to make it hands on; the children were up out of their seat and actually became the blood and body parts to demonstrate. They listened and followed instructions so well, I was so proud of them. It really helped with their understanding, and I know they will be able to tell you all about the circulatory system if you ask.
Have a brilliant weekend!
Friday 1st May
For our final time at Emmaville, we were treated to a music workshop from the Gateshead Music Services Team. As it will be the World Cup this summer, the session was filled with songs from the various competitions over years. We sang, danced and played instruments to songs like 'Three Lions' and 'Waka Waka'. As usual, it was great fun!
Friday 24th April
Well, what a brilliant first week back we have had. The children have come back refreshed, revitalised and have been working so hard! This week, we had our first meeting with our new cricket coach, Rumesh. He is here from Sri Lanka and is going to be with us for the coming months to help develop our cricket skills. We have two upcoming tournaments; a mixed tournament and then one for girls only after half term. The children were brilliant, and we had some secret superstars when it came to fielding. I can't wait to see how the children improve over the next few weeks.
Have a fabulous weekend!
