Day Three

allow-comments
Our final day dawned dry and bright.  Then it rained. And rained. And rained.  But that didn't stop us - even though the ducks were taking shelter, we just pulled on the waterproofs and got on with our last round of activities, 'cause that's the way we are now.  It's been an incredible three days, in which we were all challenged, encouraged and supported by fantastic instructors to experience so many activities that were a far cry from our normal daily lives.  Even the fact that we all made - and stripped - our beds, sorted our own sandwiches each day and swept, wiped and hoovered up after ourselves, is a testament to how much we've grown this week.  Behaviour? Amazing.  Confidence? Sky-high.  Fun? Absolutely.

Dave, one of our instructors asked the teachers to decide on a worthy winner of a High Adventure t-shirt; someone who stood out for their bravery and sheer determination.  To be honest, so many children came to mind, but the decision in the end was not too difficult.  Throughout the whole time we have been here, and in every activity, Maisie has been an absolute superstar.  Well done!

All that remains, is to look at what we were up to today.  First on the list are the (very) high ropes and zip wire.  Amazingly, all of us were able to climb high, and a few of us made it to the top platform, before letting go and defying gravity for a while.
Next, we have orienteering and the low ropes course.
Finally, fencing.
